![]() ![]() The Target exclusives are usually good, but this time they're extra awesome. The chromes don't need topcoat at all (unless you want it, but it doesn't make a difference in the shine).Īmazing set of exclusives this year. The glitters don't dry dull, but they do sparkle more with topcoat. Drying time is fast on all shades, but the chromes are faster than the glitters. None of them gave me any trouble to apply and they all looked fantastic at three coats. The chromes were smooth and even, not particularly thick or thin. The glitters were extremely fine (more of a flat glass fleck or a very small foil particle than a chunky glitter) and very opaque. It's not a Chanel Péridot dupe, but it's in the same family. Looks a lot like China Glaze Unpredictable. Blue-green-teal-gold multichromatic chrome-like shimmer. ![]() There's a dark pink and bronze base with lots of orange, gold, blue, purple and red and a strong gold flash with just the tiniest hint of a green duochrome at the most extreme angle. It's just like For Gold Times Sake and If The Blue Fits., except this one is red-bronze based and all the colors really clash and stand out. ![]() This is just the coolest thing I've ever seen from Nicole. I love the finish and the duochrome, but can we have a new color now? This and every Peridot dupe might be this year's OPI Catch Me In Your Net. ![]() Okay, okay, it's not a bad color at all, in fact I really like it, it's just. another one of these purple chromes with slight orange duochrome. All the little speckles of shimmer/glitter in here change color when you tilt your nails. I can see pink, purple, blue, green, gold and red iridescent particles in here. The overall color is a vibrant indigo blue with green and purple duochrome flash. This is another multicolored microglitter duochrome. I can see gold, green, light blue, purple, pink and red iridescent particles in this polish. It shifts colors from earthy dirty olive to pinkish red bronze depending on the lighting. The overall color of the polish is an olive gold with red/orange duochrome flash. This is a polish made up of many different colors of microglitter. Two of them are dupes of recent "mirror chrome" colors you may already have, but the rest of them are completely unique and awesome. The first time I used it I got giant cracks, which looked at times dirty and at times cool to me.Nicole by OPI has more Target exclusives this year and they are quite interesting. With a brighter color the shatter is very pronounced so try to get smaller fissures. With a glitter coat, the shatter is a little less evident and that may be more your style. My advice would be to try either a glitter or a bright, contrasting color as the color coat. And depending on how do you put it on, it may wind up like you just have black gunk all over your nails. My friend reccomended swiping the brush horizontally across your nail for a different look!īut I know that the result can be a bit too edgy for some people. just as fun to watch!) There's so many different ways you can use this to acheive different affects. (and if you like watching it change try out a matte top coat like essie's matte about you. The sheer entertainment factor of watching the coat "shatter" makes the bottle a must have for me. But I can also see why some people may not like it. It's a great effect and it's a fast way to change up a boring old manicure. I can see why everyone went crazy over OPI's black shatter. True Great way to add something extra to your nails! Honestly, I have to say I like my Barry M crackle polishes better than OPI shatter because it cracks a lot better, but the OPI shatter is nice if you aren't able to get your hands on Barry M polishes. It also cracks a lot better on smoother polishes than glitter polishes that have a rough texture. If you apply a paper-thin coat, I found, the cracks are very thin, but if you apply a thicker coat the cracks are a bit wider, which I thought was strange (I had expected the opposite to happen). However, it doesn't crack consistently, which was disappointing. I do like that the polish gives you the option between a matte and regular finish because then you can switch it up. It dries with a matte finish, so if you're not into matte polishes then go ahead and apply a top coat. It starts cracking very quickly, within 10 seconds I would say, and it also dries very quickly. The OPI Black Shatter is getting a lot of attention, and it is a really good product. ![]()
